Following our three previous consultation events and the feedback we received, we have now finalised our plans for the future. We are holding our fourth and final consultation event between 1st and 19th July, and we are keen to hear thoughts from all of those involved in the Academy, the wider local community and our local neighbours. Click the “Have your say button” at the bottom of this page to give your feedback on the plans.
The benefits of the scheme include:
Providing contemporary and high quality secondary and sixth-form facilities which are a great improvement on those available currently, including new library, wider corridors, large classrooms.
Delivering a new four court sports hall as well as new multi-use games areas.
Creating improved facilities for children with special educational needs and facilities which could be used by the wider community.
Providing new signage, with improved access and entrances with space for the farm to ‘spill out’ into a new public street lined with planting, shrubbery and trees.
Much needed homes for the borough that will fund the project and deliver excellent education facilities for Phoenix Academy. These will include family sized and affordable homes.
We have used the feedback received from the local community to help us shape our final plans. We have also been listening to staff, students and other users of the school to best understand their needs.
